August 2001 - Cape Felix

First discovered by David Woodman in 1995 these lids and one six pound tin are found near a campsite a few miles north of Cape Maria Louisa and can only be from Ross’s 1830 expedition. Photo 2001 (1/2)

Clay pipes from the Franklin Expedition, Cape Felix. Camp first discovered by Lt Hobson in 1859. Relocated in 2004, verified in 2005.

Located in 2005, this 50 caliber black powder cartridge made by Remington and Son’s was donated to the Schwatka Expedition (1878). It was found in a campsite a few miles south of Cape Maria Louisa.
